Aren’t people funny?
Drugs, tobacco, alcohol and fast cars have been rather conclusively proven to be deadly under some circumstances, but we just can’t seem to give them up.
Apples have now fallen under suspicion because of a chemical, Alar, which is used on some of them.
Everyone suddenly sees our “apple a day” as a deadly menace. Public and private agencies immediately place a ban on all apples. Are we really thinking people or merely reacting people, tossed by the winds of popular opinions?
