Archconservative television firebrand Wally George has been accused of assault stemming from an incident this week during a debate at USC with a self-styled Marxist radical, it was announced Friday.
George, host of the cable TV show “Hot Seat,” allegedly shoved, shook and struck radical Norm Lubow on the side of his head after the two traded insults during the debate Tuesday, according to criminal charges and a lawsuit filed by Lubow. The incident, which calmed quickly, was recorded on videotape and witnessed by an audience of more than 100 at the Los Angeles campus.
Lubow, a frequent guest on “Hot Seat,” advocates the use of narcotics for society to “wake up” and establish a utopian world.
