College basketball past and present dominates the schedule this weekend.
Down to the Final Four, the men’s NCAA tournament resumes today at the Kingdome in Seattle. Seton Hall faces Duke at 2:40 p.m., with Michigan vs. Illinois approximately at 5 p.m. on CBS (2)(8).
On Sunday, CBS will carry the NCAA women’s championship from Tacoma at 1 p.m.
For its part, NBC has “Al McGuire’s Championship Special” Sunday at 10 a.m., followed at 11 a.m. (4)(36)(39) by a “Sports-World” flashback featuring the 1979 NCAA title game in which Michigan State, led by Magic Johnson, played Indiana, with Larry Bird.
In golf, the Dinah Shore tourney originates from the Mission Hills Country Club today at 1:30 p.m. and Sunday at noon (4)(36)(39).
