SILVERSTONE, England —
Paul Stewart, son of former three-time Formula One world champion Jackie Stewart, escaped virtually unhurt Sunday when he crashed his car at 130 m.p.h. in the third round of the British Formula Three championship at Silverstone.
The 23-year-old’s Reynard car smashed into a barrier and was badly damaged. But Stewart walked away with no more than an aching shoulder.
The race was won by David Brabham.
