Fire Kills 2 Men in Sepulveda Apartment
Two men died after a fire broke out in a Sepulveda apartment Wednesday night, authorities said.
The men--one 41 and the other 50--were in the same apartment unit in the 15100 block of Parthenia Street when the fire occurred about 8:50 p.m., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Greg Acevedo. Their bodies were discovered after the fire was put out, he said.
The victims’ identities were not immediately available.
The flames in the ground-floor unit were put out in about 10 minutes, authorities said. Damage was estimated at $26,000.
The cause of the fire was being investigated, Acevedo said.
