Lech Piasecki of Poland won the 10th stage of the Tour of Italy cycling championships today, edging Erik Breukink of the Netherlands, who regained the overall lead.

Stephen Roche of Ireland finished third in the race against the clock over a hilly 23-mile stage from Pesaro to Riccione. Piasecki covered the distance in 46 minutes and 48 seconds. Breukink trailed him by 25 seconds and Roche by 33. However, Breukink’s time was enough to snatch the pink jersey of the overall leader away from Acacio Da Silva of Portugal, who took it away from him on Monday. Da Silva dropped to 11th place overall, 2:12 behind the Dutchman.
