Orange Coast Crew Makes National Final

Orange Coast College won its heat Thursday to qualify for the freshman final of the National Intercollegiate Rowing championships at Lake Onondaga in Syracuse, N.Y.
Orange Coast finished in 6 minutes 29.2 seconds to beat the Pennsylvania freshmen by eight-tenths of a second. Princeton and Navy also won heats to qualify for the final.
In junior varsity competition, UC Irvine finished third in its heat in 6:24.2.
