Reggie Williams, Cincinnati Bengal linebacker, said he will run for a Cincinnati City Council seat in the fall, after having served for a year as an appointee.
Williams, who can become Cincinnati’s mayor if he is the council’s top vote-getter, is a member of the Charter Committee party in Cincinnati. He said the Bengals have agreed to excuse him from Wednesday meetings and practice sessions so that he would be able to attend council sessions.
