Davis, a right-hander, posted a 7-7 record on a team that finished in last place in the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. (16-29-2). But his 171 strikeouts led the nation and broke a 19-year CCAA record. He was drafted Monday by the San Diego Padres in the seventh round. Davis, who played shortstop as a junior, completed 11 games with three shutouts.

Romero, a junior outfielder, set a school record with 27 runs batted in. Boen, a freshman utility player, drove in 18 runs and was 4-1 as a pitcher. She posted an 0.40 earned-run average, which helped the Lady Toros advance to the Western Regional Tournament on the strength of the school’s best record (35-22-1).

Despite an injury-plagued season, Jauregui batted .340 with five home runs and 24 RBIs. The fleet Campbell led Toro starters with a .352 average, .445 on-base percentage, 12 stolen bases and five assists from the outfield.

Biller, a right-hander, was 15-11 with a 0.63 ERA.
