THE SIDELINES : Purdue QB Will Transfer to Florida
Brian Fox, Purdue’s starting quarterback most of last season, has decided to transfer to Florida, where he’ll have three years of eligibility beginning in 1990.
“I really made my decision three or four days ago and finally made it official with Coach (Galen) Hall,” said the 6-foot-5, 215-pound 18-year-old. “He’s pretty excited, although he’s kind of laid back.”
Fox started eight games at Purdue as a freshman, completing 51.5% of his passes for 1,250 yards with seven touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
