PORTLAND, Ore. — Danny Sullivan will take his doctor’s advice and skip the next two races on the Indy schedule--this weekend’s $650,000 Budweiser-G.I. Joe’s 200 in Portland and the July 2 Cleveland Grand Prix.
Sullivan, the defending Budweiser-G.I. Joe’s 200 champion, is nursing a broken right forearm injured in a May 11 crash during a practice run for the Indianapolis 500.
Team leader Roger Penske is considering Geoff Brabham, John Andretti and Al Unser Sr. as relief drivers for Sullivan, spokesman John Love said.
