Murray Off Base When Taking Switzer to Task
Jim Murray, in his column about Barry Switzer, says Coach Switzer is some kind of a Badlands character and a disgrace to the coaching profession. Murray, frequently writes about the good ol’ days and those legends from the past. Most of the coaches he mentions could not make it in the real world of today. Coach Switzer was successful because he recruited well and treated his players like men, not little boys. Unfortunately for Coach Switzer, some of the Sooner players did not act like men.
