Court on Capital Punishment
The U.S. Supreme Court has shown great courage and wisdom in recent decisions to curb reverse discrimination and affirm the death penalty.
In regard to the latter, The Times recently printed articles about the overcrowding on death row in this state. Many of these criminals, after years of appeals, have finally had their sentences confirmed by the California Supreme Court. “Swift justice” has become a hollow principle, but it seems reasonable that, at long last, the will of the people should begin to be carried out and these condemned be put to death.
