THE SIDELINES : Ohio State Coach Gets Promotion
COLUMBUS, Ohio — New Ohio State head basketball Coach Randy Ayers today promoted Paul Brazeau to full-time assistant coach.
Brazeau, 30, had been a part-time assistant for two years.
The appointments of Ayers and Brazeau are subject to approval by the university trustees. Ayers was appointed to the top job Monday.
“I am very happy that Paul has decided to remain at Ohio State,” Ayers said in a statement. “Not only does he give us continuity, he is a very outgoing type of personality who will be invaluable as a recruiter. Additionally, he knows the game and has an excellent rapport with our players,” Ayers said.
Brazeau also will be in charge of the Buckeyes’ scheduling.
