Brian Wachler of Santa Monica, a former UCLA crew member and a Rotary International scholarship student at the University of Edinburgh, rowed for Scotland in the 150th Henley Regatta at Henley-on-Thames, England. He was also a member of the University of Edinburgh crew during the past year. A 1986 UCLA graduate, he will enter medical school at Dartmouth College in the fall.

Rich Gitahi of Beverly Hills High School will compete in the special high school mile at the Jack in the Box Invitational track meet on Aug. 6 at UCLA’s Drake Stadium. Gitahi has a best time of 4:16.9.

Irving Friedensohn won the A flight and Sol Rubenstein the B flight in the 1989 Rancho Park Golf Club Seniors Tournament.
