Nugget Sale Talks in Progress--$65 Million?

The Denver Post reported that the Denver Nuggets have been sold to a group of Chicago investors for $65 million, but team owner Sidney Shlenker said negotiations are still in progress and no deal had yet been made.

“I’m still the owner so far,” Shlenker said. “We are in conversation. I expect for something to be announced in the next few days. It’s a little premature.”

Shlenker, who is shifting his business operations top Memphis, didn’t identify the investors but said the Nuggets would remain in Denver.
