Artist Peter Max has commemorated the 20th anniversary of the moon landing with a painting that will be unveiled today at the Smithsonian Institution’s Air and Space Museum in Washington. “Man on the Moon,” done in bold impressionistic strokes of yellow, pink, lavender and blue, was commissioned by Sony. Max marked the landing in 1969 with a series of four posters.
