Woman Found Fatally Shot on Paxton Avenue
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of an unidentified woman who was found shot to death Wednesday on a street in the Lopez Canyon area, authorities said.
A passing Los Angeles police officer found the body of the adult woman at 3:36 a.m. in the 12300 block of Paxton Avenue, Sheriff’s Sgt. Bryan Williams said. That part of Paxton, in a small area of unincorporated county territory between Lake View Terrace and Pacoima, is routinely used by Los Angeles police officers driving between the two neighborhoods.
Williams said detectives have not determined a motive for the shooting and have no suspects.
