Heat Face Firepower

Jeff Hooker and the explosive L.A. Heat will face the highest-scoring team in the World Soccer League at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in a WSL semifinal playoff game at San Francisco.
The Heat, runner-up in the South Division at 10-6, will face the San Francisco Bay Blackhawks, champions of the North Division at 11-5. The Blackhawks, with 37 goals, are the only WSL team to outscore the Heat’s 35. The Blackhawks also give up a lot of points, allowing 26 goals compared to 19 against the Heat.
