An Anaheim woman was in serious condition Wednesday night after her car veered out of control, crashed into a street divider and overturned in Placentia, authorities said.

Judith Ann Brackman, 47, was airlifted to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where she is expected to undergo surgery today for a broken hip, according to hospital spokeswoman Elaine Beno.

Brackman was driving her 1981 Datsun 510 on Kraemer Boulevard south of Bickford Street about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, when she lost control of the car and crashed into the center divider, according to Placentia police. Her car flipped over, pinning her inside. Brackman was freed by County Fire Department rescue workers.
