LOCAL : Blast Damages Home in Van Nuys

An explosion damaged the front of an attorney’s home in Van Nuys, the Los Angeles Police Department said this morning.
The explosion occurred near midnight Wednesday at the home of Robert Klein in the 15900 block of Haynes Street, police said. No one was hurt. An unknown explosive material was used and the force of the blast heavily damaged the front door and shattered a window, police said.
The case is being investigated by the bomb squad and the department’s Criminal Conspiracy Unit. Police said there are no suspects and added that the explosion may have been a prank.
