A Wild Ride overtook 7-10 favorite Dominant Dancer in the late going Wednesday to win the $84,675 Junior Miss Stakes by three-quarters of a length before a crowd of 14,362 at Del Mar.
A Wild Ride, ridden by Chris McCarron and carrying 115 pounds, covered six furlongs in 1:09 4/5 and paid $9.80, $3.60 and $3.20..
Dominant Dancer finished six lengths in front of Tanya’s Tuition and returned $2.60 and $2.40. Tanya’s Tuition, a 48-1 shot paid $7.60 to show.
