Rookie Steve Walsh completed all six of his passes to lead the Dallas Cowboys to a 14-3 victory over the San Diego Chargers in a scrimmage at Thousand Oaks. Troy Aikman, the first player selected in the NFL draft, completed three of five passes for 26 yards.

Coach Jimmy Johnson said he won’t name a starting quarterback until the final exhibition game against Houston on Sept. 2.

Johnson and Cowboy owner Jerry Jones also said they have been so impressed with their training camp at Cal Lutheran University that they likely will come back next year. Earlier, they said the Cowboys would probably hold training camp in Texas next year.
