A man, a woman and an 8-year-old girl found in a burned Carson building Friday had suffered mortal stab wounds before the house in the 17800 block of South Main Street was set ablaze, authorities said Tuesday.

Ramon Tinajero, 59, and Soledad Colin, 28, were already dead when found, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Hal Grant said. The girl, Claudia Tinajero, was still alive, but died later at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.

Deputies said the blaze was believed to have been set to cover up the slayings.

Records indicated Colin had lived at the home since 1982. No information was available on the relationship of the three victims, and Grant said no further details were immediately available on the case.
