Pitcher Charles Hudson of the Detroit Tigers was in serious but stable condition after breaking a leg and an ankle in a single-car automobile accident at Farmington Hills, Mich. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
Hudson, 30, suffered fractures to his lower left leg and right ankle in the accident shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday.
