ON THE SIDELINES : Daughter Born to Pete, Carol Rose

CHICAGO —
Cincinnati Reds Manager Pete Rose and his wife, Carol, became the parents of a daughter, Cara Chae, born in Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati today.
Rose left the team early this morning to join his wife. Coach Tommy Helms filled in for Rose.
Cara Chae weighed in at 7 pounds, 7 ounces. The Roses also have a son, Tyler, 4, and Rose has a son, Pete Jr., and a daughter, Fawn, from a previous marriage.
