THE SIDELINES : Clifford Goodrich Named President of Turf Club, Santa Anita Operator
Clifford C. Goodrich has been named president and chief operating officer of the Los Angeles Turf Club Inc., it was announced today.
The Los Angeles Turf Club is the operator of Santa Anita Race Track.
Robert P. Strub, chairman and chief executive officer of the turf club, said today that Goodrich was selected at a board meeting last Thursday.
Goodrich, who joined Santa Anita in 1980 as assistant general manager, succeeded Raymond M. Rogers as general manager in 1986 and assumed the title of executive vice president last January.
Before joining Santa Anita, Goodrich, 46, was vice president and general manager of Golden Gate Fields in Northern California.
