Outage Results in Sewage Spill
A power failure at a sewage plant resulted in 7,500 gallons of sewage flowing into Mission Bay on Sunday, a spokesman for the San Diego County Environmental Health Services said.
The overflow occurred in the 3900 block of Mission Boulevard after a sewage line became blocked at Pump Station 17.
The spokesman said the area has been posted with warning signs, which will remain up until testing determines the water is safe.
