New Orleans Saint owner Tom Benson boogied on the sideline Sunday, the first time this season he has performed his victory dance as New Orleans snapped a four-game losing streak with a 29-14 victory over the New York Jets.

Benson didn’t dance after the opening-game victory over Dallas, but he was leaping and waving his arms after the Saints beat the Jets.

“I love it. I hope he does it every week, because that means we’re winning,” said Saint safety Dave Waymer.

Bobby Hebert converted two turnovers and a free kick after a safety into quick scores.

Jumpy Geathers recovered two fumbles for the Saints, one setting up 29-yard field goal by Morten Andersen, who also kicked a 42-yard field goal on New Orleans’ first possession.

Geathers’ other fumble recovery put the Saints in position for a five-play, 40-yard drive to a four-yard touchdown pass from Hebert to Eric Martin.

Martin also scored on a 53-yard pass play from Hebert after the Saints got the ball at their 47-yard line following the safety.

The safety was awarded when Jet center Adam Schreiber was called for holding Saint linebacker Pat Swilling in the end zone.

Hebert threw a three-yard touchdown to Lonzell Hill with 23 seconds left in the first half to give the Saints a 13-7 lead, capping a a five-play, 42-yard drive. Antonio Gibson recovered a muffed punt to set up the drive.
