ORANGE — The Chapman College men’s basketball team will play Louisiana State during the 1990-91 season, Panther Coach Bob Boyd said Wednesday.
The Division II Panthers will play the Division I Tigers, led by Chris Jackson, one of the top point guards in the country, Dec. 7, 1990, in Baton Rouge. Boyd also said Chapman will get a guarantee for the game.
“This isn’t upgrading our schedule, this is exaggerating it,” Boyd said. “We feel it will be a nice trip for us. And the kids are excited about playing against one of the top teams in the country.”
Boyd also said he is trying to schedule a second game on the trip.
