HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP : Tony Clark Decisions May Be Made Today

Share

The Tony Clark eligibility vigil continues, but today at least should end speculation regarding the future of the talented high school basketball player.

At 10 a.m. today, Clark will hold a press conference at Police Athletic League offices in Spreckles Theater to announce where he will attend college. He is said to be leaning toward Arizona.

“If people are happy with my choice, great,” Clark said. “I hope they wish me their best. If they aren’t, well, they’re not the ones who have to live with it.”

Clark’s eligibility for the upcoming high school basketball season could be decided today. The San Diego Section Board of Managers held a special closed session Thursday to hear an appeal by Clark’s parents and lawyer Tim MacNeil that Clark be allowed to play for Christian this year. Clark transferred from Valhalla, but Principal Bob Avant has refused to sign a transfer waiver.
