Panelists will include former Los Angeles Ram Russ Bolinger, USC Athletic Director Marvin Cobb and Dr. Allen Beyer, chairman of the Orange County Medical Assn.’s Committee on Sports Medicine.

“Steroids are something that is growing in our community and others,” said Wakeham, who will moderate the event. “Statistics on it are based mostly on rumors, but this is something that appeals to not only just athletes, but for guys who want to become ‘buff for the babes.’ ”

The program will begin at 7:30 at South Coast Community Church, 5120 Bonita Canyon Road in Irvine. Admission is free.
