Los Alamitos’ Fall Meeting to End Tonight

The 50-night fall meeting at Los Alamitos Race Course ends tonight with the 18th Champion of Champions feature race.

The 10-horse field almost certainly will be chasing more than the $200,000 purse. Winners of the feature race have been named World Champion Quarter Horse 10 times.

See Me Do It, a 3-year-old filly trained by Bobby Turner and ridden by Larry Layton, is the favorite. See Me Do It, which has never faced older horses, has 10 victories in 11 starts, including four at Ruidoso Downs, N.M., this summer.

A pair of 4-year-olds, Cash Legacy and Wicked Dash, represent a formidable duo trained by Blane Schvaneveldt.
