A’s Get Record World Series Share

NEW YORK —
A full share for the World Series champion Oakland Athletics was worth a record $114,252.11, and a share for the losing San Francisco Giants was worth $83,529.26, the commissioner’s office said Wednesday.
The players’ pool from the playoffs was $12,110,808.77, up from the previous record of $11,969,881 set last year. The players’ pool comes from the first four games of the playoffs and the first four games of the World Series.
