SWIMMING : Meet Starts Today in Long Beach
Men’s and women’s teams from USC, UCLA, Pepperdine, Cal State Long Beach, Stanford, California, Arizona State, Tennessee and Michigan will compete in the Grand Prix National Invitational swim meet at Belmont Plaza in Long Beach today through Sunday.
Matt Biondi and Tom Jager will also race in the 50-yard freestyle Saturday night. They have not competed against each other at 50 yards since the NCAA meet in 1986, when Biondi defeated Jager.
