THE SIDELINES : Tulsa’s Bitson Injured in Crash

TULSA, Okla. —
Tulsa receiver Dan Bitson, who had more than 1,000 yards in receptions this year, is in critical condition with two broken legs after he was injured in a head-on car crash today, officials say.
Tulsa police spokesman Jerry Isaacs said Bitson was pinned in his car for about 45 minutes. “He had several major fractures,” Isaacs said.
Steve Reynolds, a spokesman at St. John Medical Center, said Bitson has a broken wrist in addition to the broken legs.
