The Sports Network, the Canadian version of ESPN, has broadcast an apology-retraction regarding comments made during the Sept. 27 Sports Page program, which implied that sprinter Carl Lewis used performance-enhancing drugs.
The comments were based on allegations made about Lewis in an article published by Germany’s Stern magazine.
“TSN and Sports Page panelist Bill Watters regret that these allegations were repeated and wish to apologize and make it clear that they have no evidence to support these allegations,” TSN said.
