GIRLS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP

In the Costa Mesa tournament:

Woodbridge 49, Cypress 44--Kim Dean’s basket with 58 seconds left put Woodbridge ahead for good, 46-44, in a championship quarterfinal game. Junior center Deanna Harry, who had 14 rebounds, added a free throw with 16 seconds left and a layup as the game ended.

San Clemente 54, Tustin 39--Wendy Stewart and Wendy Moon each had 15 points to lead San Clemente (9-3) in a championship quarterfinal. Moon also had 13 rebounds.

Costa Mesa 69, Schurr 50--Freshman guard Olivia DiCamille scored 30 points and had 14 rebounds to lead Costa Mesa in a championship quarterfinal game. Thuy Nguyen added 17 for Costa Mesa (5-4).

North Torrance 46, Capistrano Valley 40--Center Laura Collins scored 24 points for North Torrance in a championship quarterfinal game.

In the Orange Glen tournament:

University 58, Orange Glen 38--In the third-place game, Denise Gandara had 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead University (8-3). Tara Wolff had 16 points and 11 rebounds for University.
