Dodo Cheney of Santa Monica, who has won more than 180 senior tennis titles, 100 more than anyone else, put herself in line for two more by winning semifinals in both the women’s 65s and 70s singles divisions of the Super Senior Heart tournament at the San Diego Tennis and Racquet Club.

In the 65s, 70-year-old Cheney ousted Muriel Bard of Laguna Hills, 6-1, 7-5. In the 70s, she routed June Coverly of Escondido, 6-0, 6-1.

The biggest upset of the day was in the men’s 80s doubles, where unseeded Bill Cunningham of Fallbrook and Lee Spencer of Corona del Mar beat No. 1-seeded Bill Seidel of La Jolla and Hugh Weckerly of San Diego, 7-5, 6-2.
