Southern California horseman Jimmy A. Williams, whose equestrian career spanned six decades, received the American Horse Shows Assn. first lifetime achievement award at the group’s convention in Costa Mesa.
The 72-year-old Williams, who served as a double for Tyrone Power in Western films in the 1930s, currently trains about 200 horses and 60 riders in several equestrian disciplines at Flintridge Riding Club in La Canada.
