Jockey Jeffrey Righter, injured in a four-horse pileup Friday at Beulah Park in Grove City, Ohio, died of massive head injuries suffered in the accident.
Righter, 27, had been riding Styloid in the 5 1/2-furlong fourth race when Styloid and Ruth’s Babe clipped heels. Styloid fell, bringing three other horses down.
