WOMEN’S ROUNDUP : Long Beach Rallies to Victory

Center Angie Lee scored a career-high 26 points and grabbed 15 rebounds Saturday night as Cal State Long Beach overcame a 13-point deficit to beat Fresno State, 78-68, at Long Beach.

The 49ers, the nation’s sixth-ranked team, trailed by 13 points with 10:06 left in the first half, but cut the deficit to one at halftime. Trailing, 52-49, with 13:45 left in the game, Long Beach outscored the Bulldogs, 16-4, to take the lead for good, 65-56, with 7:21 remaining. Lee led that rally with nine points.

The 49ers are 6-1 in the Big West Conference and 13-4 overall.

Oregon 80, UCLA 66--Jacquie Semeniuk scored 24 points and Jennifer Bourn added 16 as the Ducks won at Eugene, Ore.

Rehema Stephens scored a game-high 25 points for UCLA (10-7, 5-2). Stephens has scored in double figures in every game. It was the seventh time she has scored 25 points or more.

Oregon, which has won three consecutive games, is 13-5 and 5-2.

USC 50, Oregon State 46--Tammy Hammond scored 12 points, all in the second half, and Linda Kennedy converted two key three-point shots as the Trojans rallied to win at Corvallis, Ore.

USC is 2-5 and 4-10. Oregon State is 4-16 and 0-7.
