The Cincinnati Reds signed outfielder Paul O’Neill to a two-year contract for $1.6 million.
The Reds also signed backup outfielder Ken Griffey to a one-year contract that will pay him $510,000 this year, with $45,000 in bonuses for up to 325 plate appearances.
The signings avert salary arbitration scheduled for both players.
