In other Western State Conference games:

Moorpark 92, Santa Barbara 65--Freshman point guard Sam Crawford scored 15 points and added 14 assists to lead Moorpark’s victory at home.

Greg Taylor had 12 points and a season-high 21 rebounds for Moorpark (21-8, 9-3). Roger Thomas had 14 points and Charlie Cangelosi added 13 for the Raiders.

Glendale 84, Canyons 71--Dave Swanson scored 19 points and had 11 rebounds to lead visiting Glendale.

Glendale (21-10, 9-4) overcame a three-point halftime deficit and 15 turnovers for the win.

Aaron Clark scored 19 points to lead Canyons (12-19, 5-8).

WOMEN

Santa Monica 64, Valley 55--CoCo Jones scored a game-high 24 points to lead Santa Monica (24-5, 11-2) to a Western State Conference win at Valley.

With the victory, Santa Monica moved into a tie with Valley for the conference lead. Jones scored 19 points in the second half, including 10 of the Corsairs’ final 16 points. Sandrine Rocher led Valley (25-5, 11-2) with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Moorpark 90, Santa Barbara 59--After taking a nine-point lead at halftime, Moorpark scored 51 second-half points to turn the WSC game into a rout.

Deborah Rabin led all scorers with 25 points as Moorpark improved to 17-8, 8-3.

Four other Raiders reached double figures: Donna Houck (16 points); Jenny Shotliff (10); Katie Krause (13); and Cindy Wiley (11).

Bakersfield 47, Pierce 46--Carol Schoenmann’s 12 points weren’t enough to lift Pierce past Bakersfield in a WSC game at Pierce.

Rebounding from an 11-point deficit in the second half, Pierce (10-18, 3-10) came back to tie the score, 43-43, with 45 seconds remaining. After a Bakersfield basket, Pierce scored a field goal and a free throw to go up by one with 16 seconds remaining. But Bakersfield (14-13, 7-6) retaliated with a quick basket for the win.

Canyons 93, Glendale 31--Tressie Millender scored 16 points and had 10 rebounds to lead host Canyons to a WSC victory over Glendale. Canyons (22-6, 10-3) put together an early 24-4 run and forced 20 first-half turnovers. Debra Mejia and Farima Jose each scored 11 points to lead Glendale (4-20, 1-12).
