SANTA ANA : Man Shot to Death Outside Apartment

A Santa Ana man was fatally shot after a dispute with another man in the parking area of his apartment building, police said Friday.
Luis Gutierrez, 23, had just entered a parking area in the 1300 block of French Street about 7:15 p.m. Thursday when he was confronted by another man, possibly a tenant in the same complex, Santa Ana Police Cpl. Mike Stuhl said.
The two men apparently argued, he said. Gutierrez was shot three times in the chest by the other man, who was armed with a .45-caliber automatic handgun.
The unknown gunman fled and is still at large, Stuhl said.
Gutierrez was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was pronounced dead.
