SOUTHERN SECTION BOYS ROUNDUP
Faith Baptist 65, Brethern 59--The Contenders became Southern Section 1-A Division champions after their overtime victory over Brethren at Biola University.
Faith Baptist (19-10) won despite making one field goal in the fourth quarter and being outscored, 12-6, in the final 3:32.
Alex Estrada scored 11 of his game-high 26 points in the third quarter to help increase Faith Baptist’s 29-24 lead to 45-35.
But Chris Beck tied the game, 55-55, with two free throws with 28 seconds left in regulation.
Brethren finished 19-9.
