SLOW LANE: Joseph Wambaugh is leaving his plush waterside digs on Linda Isle. . . . The policeman-turned-author, whose latest book, “The Golden Orange,” is set in Newport Beach, is headed to Rancho Santa Fe in San Diego County because there are “no drugs, no fast life.” Besides, he added: “Newport was getting a little crowded” and he wanted a “nice, quiet community” to raise his two puppies. . . . Price for his home and boat slip: $3.3 million.
