CBS will push “Dallas” into a later time slot and shift its other Friday night serial, “Falcon Crest,” to Thursday night in order to try out two new half-hour comedies, “Sugar and Spice” and “Bagdad Cafe,” the network said Thursday.

NBC also added a series to its prime-time lineup Thursday, while ABC changed its mind about a scheduling move it had announced last week.

“Falcon Crest” will have its last Friday broadcast next Friday at 10 p.m., and will move into the Thursday schedule at 9 p.m. on April 26. “Island Son,” currently airing in that spot, has been canceled. “Dallas” will move from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. on March 30.

Joining the Friday night lineup on March 30 will be “Bagdad Cafe,” with Whoopi Goldberg and Jean Stapleton as women working in a motel/diner near Las Vegas, and “Sugar and Spice,” which stars Loretta Devine and Vickilyn Reynoldsas sisters who have differing views on how to raise their teen-age niece (LaVerne Anderson).

NBC, meanwhile, said that “F/M,” which stars Robert Hays as the program director and deejay of a Washington radio station, will return to the Wednesday schedule at 9:30 p.m. on March 28. It previously aired last summer.

For its part, ABC said that it had decided to take “Young Riders” off the air next month rather than move it to a new slot. “China Beach” will make the switch to Mondays at 9 p.m. instead, on April 16. The first-year Western series remains a candidate for next season’s schedule, a spokesman said.
