Share

Cal Lutheran senior right-hander Mike Clark allowed no hits for the first five innings before settling for a one-hitter in the Kingsmen’s 2-0 win over Biola in an NAIA District 3 game Friday at Cal Lutheran. Clark struck out 11.

Scott Rojas got Biola’s only hit, singling to left field leading off the sixth.

Clark improved to 4-1, his only loss coming against Division I San Diego State.

It marked the second time this season that Clark had outdueled Biola’s Tim Worrell, like Clark, an All-District 3 selection last season. Earlier this month, Clark shut out the Eagles, 7-0.

Dan Weis’ two-run home run in the seventh, his fourth of the season, accounted for all of the scoring for Cal Lutheran (12-4 overall, 6-1 in District 3).
