ORANGE COUNTY ALL-STAR FOOTBALL GAME : Manning, Wilson Top South Nominations

Trabuco Hills High School quarterback Tim Manning and Santa Ana defensive end Oscar Wilson head the list of nominations for the South team in the 31st Orange County All-Star football game July 6 at Orange Coast College’s LeBard Stadium.

Manning, The Times’ offensive back of the year, led Trabuco Hills to two consecutive Division VIII championships and set a county career interception mark in three seasons.

Wilson, The Times’ lineman of the year, twice was named the county’s lineman of the year and became only the second player to earn all-county honors for three consecutive seasons.

El Toro, runner-up in the Division III playoffs, had six players nominated, including Steve Stenstrom, the county’s top-rated quarterback. Dave White of Edison will coach the team.

Rosters for both teams will be selected this week.
